Game Events: Week of Jan. 24th - 30th

Not only do we sell board games, we also provide tables and a library full of open games for you to come in and play.  The tables are open during store hours as well as during our Weds and Friday evening Open Game Play Nights.


Come and join in on the fun as it's a great way to meet other game enthusiasts and to try out some games. Our Games Library has a wide variety of games available for play while you are here.  It's free and it's fun!

New Game Splash - Free Event

Chara Games

Commissioned is a historically-based, cooperative board game for 2-6 players. Acting as the Apostles of the early Christian Church, players must work together to strengthen their individual decks of faith cards, grow the church, collect the books of the New Testament, and overcome persecution. You do not need to know anything about Christianity or history to play.





Mike will be on hand to demo and lead game play.  It's a free event and it'll be fun.

Game Arrivals: Jan. 10th - 15th

The theaters of London are abuzz.  In one week, Her Majesty the Queen will attend their new shows and will grant her support to one of the troupes.  It is a chance of a lifetime for the young authors who are inflaming the populace with ever more audacious and motley plays.

In Shakespeare, players have 6 days to create the most grandiose play possible. They must recruit actors and craftsmen, put up stage sets, create costumes, and perform rehearsals. At the finale, the player who has created the most prestigious play wins the game.

Ascension: Dreamscape is the newest addition to the deck-building game, Ascension. It is playable as a stand-alone game for 1 to 4 players, or can be combined with other Ascension games to play with up to 6 players.

Step into the Dreamscape, a plane of visions and imagination created in the wake of New Vigil’s transformation. As the factions gain insight into the new world’s power, they must also be on guard for those who might abuse it for their own nefarious ends.

Wrath of Dragons is a game of resource destruction.

Players are dragons that, over the course of the game, will fly into the various regions on the game board and lay waste to settlements, scorch fields, snatch livestock, take gold, and capture nobles.  After 6 centuries have passed, the devastation, destruction, and fear that the dragons have caused is scored, and the dragon that earns the most Victory Points is the winner.

Orléans is a worker placement game with a twist. Players accumulate additional workers that get placed in a bag. A random draw determines which workers will be available next turn. There are multiple types of workers all with multiple uses.

The goal of the game is to achieve dominance in various areas in medieval France. You will get goods, coins, and victory points via production, trade, development, and by committing to the common good.






7 Wonders Duel

Wonders Duel is a 2-player stand-alone game.  It uses some of the same mechanics as the popular7 Wonders game.

Duel offers a new system of card drafting,3 victory conditions, scientific progress, and original military system and 12 Wonders.

In Biblios, you play the part of an abbot at the head of a monastery during the Middle Ages. Seeking to amass the most illustrious library, you compete with other abbots to obtain highly treasured holy books and manuscripts. You attain your goal by acquiring the resources necessary for decorative lettering, hiring the best scribes, and reproducing the most precious works; however, you have a limited amount of gold at your disposal. Furthermore, you must maintain a rapport with the bishop, whose influence could make your library that much more glorious.




Colt Express

Colt Express is a family game about robbing a train. 

Players are outlaws robbing a train vying for the most loot. Each outlaw will have a special ability. Throughout the game players will preprogram their moves.  The outlaws will move from car-to-car, from inside a car to it's roof, and from roof-to-roof as well as shoot and punch each other in their attempts to steal the most loot off the train. In addition the outlaws must try and avoid Marshal Ford.  After 5 rounds the baddest outlaw is the player with the most loot.




Sheriff Of Nothingham

Sheriff Of Nottingham is an exciting card game of bluffing, bribery and smuggling.

Players are merchants that want to make as much profit as they can by delivering their goods to market.  Players take turns assuming the role of Sheriff, who must decide which merchants pouches to inspect and which to let pass without inspection.  The merchant's goal is to convince the Sheriff as to what may be in their pouch of goods using any means necessary.  A little bribery here, a little bluffing there as their pouches may contain contraband.  At the end of the game, the player with the most wealth wins.
