Days Of Wonder
New from Days of Wonder and game designers Bruno Cathala (Five Tribes) and Marc Paquien is Yamatai.

In Yamatai, players compete to earn victory points using different strategies. The main game board is made up of a maze of islands from which players will place fleets of boats delivering resources, collect culture tokens, and construct buildings.  Players use the culture tokens to recruit specialists that provide benefits. Fleet tiles consists of the quantity of boats you get for placement and their resource type, provide a one-time special power, and determines turn order for the next round. Building tiles provide end of game points.

Kanagawa is a card drafting, set collection game with beautiful artwork, a bamboo mat game board, and paintbrush pawns.

In this strategic game, players are art students building up their studios so they can paint the most beautiful panorama.   You must carefully choose your lesson cards.  Each lessen card has a duel purpose.  It can be used as a painting in your panorama or as resources for future painting requirements.
