Game Arrivals: 6.6.2016

Here's a look at some of the games that arrived in this week:

DetectiveA Modern Crime Board Game
Portal Games

Detective is a cooperative game where players work together as investigators for Antares National Investigation Agency. They will gather information, deduce clues, and follow leads in order to solve multiple cases which are represented in the game by a deck of cards. At the end of each case, they will answer questions to gain victory points. Winning or losing the game is dependent on the number of victory points earned. Access to an internet browser is required to play the game.

Detective will challenge players with different five cases. Seemingly unconnected at first, they will unveil an immersive meta-plot based on facts and fiction alike. While playing, you might find clues that seem unconnected to the current case. Sometimes they are dead ends; sometimes they are clues you will need to solve upcoming cases.

This one takes you to the tropical lands that surround the Valley of the Ancients to Raid and Plunder the surroundings. Treasure enough to make yourself king, but also the legendary Crystals of Command: an artifact rumored to give the wearer power to control the land, the sea, and the skies.

Skulls and Sails is playable as a standalone 2-4 player game, or combine with other Ascension games to play up to 6 players.
