Game Arrivals: Week of Oct. 26th - 29th

Another new game has arrived in this week.

Santa Monica

New from AEG is Santa Monica a tableau building beachy-themed game for 2 to 4 players  that plays in 35 to 40 minutes.

Players will compete to create their most appealing oceanfront community whether it be a quiet one centered on nature, or a bustling with one fun shops and tourists, or something in between that also draws the locals.  Players will draft beach and street feature cards from the central play area to put in their oceanfront - either in their top row beach scene or their bottom row street.  The features on these cards can work together with chains and adjacencies to gain victory points.  In addition, there are wooden meeple tokens that represent locals, tourists, and VIP's that move around your oceanfront community with each type having a specific function.   Gain and spend wooden sand dollar tokens to utilize the special actions on the common sand dollar action tiles.  At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins.
